Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2026

1. About EHCP Expert

EHCP Expert is a product of Creative Sauce Ltd (company number 12582512), registered in England and Wales. Our registered address is available on request. These terms govern your use of the EHCP Expert website and services at www.ehcpexpert.co.uk.

2. What the service provides

EHCP Expert provides AI-generated letters, an EHCP chatbot, case tracking tools, and educational guides about the Education, Health and Care Plan process in England. The service is designed to help parents and carers navigate the SEND system.

3. Not legal advice

EHCP Expert does not provide legal advice. The information, letters, and guidance provided are based on UK SEND legislation (including the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice 2015), but every child's situation is unique. You should review all AI-generated documents before sending them. For complex legal matters, we recommend consulting a qualified SEND solicitor or contacting IPSEA (ipsea.org.uk) for free legal advice.

4. Payment and access

EHCP Expert offers a one-time payment of 69 GBP for permanent access to all AI tools. Payment is processed securely through Stripe. Free guides and resources are available without payment. There is no subscription and no recurring charges.

5. Refund policy

If you are not satisfied with the service, you can request a full refund within 14 days of purchase by emailing hello@ehcpexpert.co.uk. No reason is required. Refunds are processed within 5-10 working days.

6. Your account and data

When you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Your case data, uploaded documents, and generated letters are stored securely and are only accessible to you. We do not share your data with third parties except as required to provide the service (see our Privacy Policy).

7. Acceptable use

You agree to use EHCP Expert for its intended purpose - supporting families through the EHCP process. You must not use the service for any unlawful purpose, attempt to access other users' data, or use automated tools to scrape content from the site.

8. Intellectual property

All content on EHCP Expert, including guides, page designs, and the AI system, is owned by Creative Sauce Ltd. Letters generated for your use are yours to send and keep. Our free guides may be shared for non-commercial purposes with attribution to ehcpexpert.co.uk.

9. Limitation of liability

EHCP Expert is provided "as is." While we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee the outcome of any EHCP application, appeal, or tribunal case. Creative Sauce Ltd is not liable for any decisions made by local authorities or tribunals, or for any loss arising from your use of information provided by the service.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via the email address associated with your account. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of EHCP Expert will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Safeguarding

EHCP Expert takes safeguarding extremely seriously. Our AI chatbot and letter generator are designed exclusively for EHCP and SEND law guidance. They will not engage in casual conversation, provide medical advice, discuss medications or prescriptions, or offer mental health counselling.

If our system detects that a user may be experiencing a mental health crisis, it will immediately pause the EHCP conversation and provide signposting to appropriate support services including the Samaritans (116 123), NHS 111, and emergency services (999). We will never attempt to provide crisis counselling or mental health advice ourselves.

If you are concerned about a child's immediate safety or welfare, please contact your local authority children's services, call the NSPCC helpline on 0808 800 5000, or call 999 in an emergency.
